A petrol tanker on Thursday morning collided with a truck conveying diesel at Aseese in Ogun State with fuel gushing out from the petrol tanker. This led to the grounding of both sides of the Lagos – Ibadan expressway.
Many motorists and petrol tankers have been trapped in the gridlock as soldiers, policemen, road-safety and fire officials are currently diverting vehicles from the expressway to bush paths to avoid casualties.
