UNIPORT Students Shut Down Institution Over Increase In Fees, Seal Major Roads (Photos)

Students of the University of Port Harcourt this morning shutdown all academic activities in the institution. The protest started this morning as early as 5am according to sources. The students blocked all entry and exit points in the institution, leaving the management and other students stranded.

The protesters, who are being led by the leadership of the student union, also barricaded all access roads leading to the institution, including the major East-West road and the Choba-Uniport road.

They are protesting against the increase of their fees and other levies. One more photo below.
